The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I am ashamed to admit that I watched the movie before reading the book. But it's what I needed to encourage me to try reading the book again after abandoning it once. I thought the movie was simply OK. This opinion also applies to the book. In my opinion it didn't have anything truly spectacular to set it apart from the rest of the dystopia craze. And even though the ending was a total cliffhanger it was not enough to compel me to continue the series.
