I open my mouth to reply, and then I get a flashback to Lenore judo flipping me onto my ass, complete with classical music playing in the background, and shut it. Brad: "That's beside the point!"

Brad gardening with Mina was absolutely perfect, loved that for him. It truly helped him take his mind of Raul.

I thoroughly enjoy the side characters in this book.
It's like an orchestra where everyone needs to be in their rightful place for the whole symphony to work.
That's how I see a book that the story is so well crafted.

Mina crack me up with her quirky dark humor, Lenore is her fabulous self, and Trent is just a fool.
Oh and for a moment, I really thought that maybe the psychologist was Catalina misplaced in the story bc Brad took her place.
And like Brad, I do not like Dr. Wilson! He makes me very suspicious 🧐.

Brad: I blink, looking between them. "What now?"
Mina just cackles and runs off.
"Kids," Raul says with a shrug, walking down the hall.
"Hey, wait a sec!" I call after him. "She was joking, right? You guys don't eat humans. Right?"
Raul laughs. "No, we don't eat humans," he says, a mischievous gleam in his eyes as he looks me over. "Although you definitely look juicy enough to tempt me."
