You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle
5.0
This book took me on a journey.
1. I hated both leads, wondered why they wouldn't just break up
2. Slowly began to warm up to both of them, without realizing it until I was about 30% in and was like hey, I like them both!
3. I cried happy tears at the end because I had been rooting so hard for them.
Pros:
- leads learn to communicate with one another
- you can see the deep connection between them and fixing their relationship wasn't black and white
- I like that external factors of their lives weren't resolved as neatly - in terms of jobs and the future of their relationship
Cons:
- the small climactic action right before the end felt a bit ...meh?
- no HEA epilogue for those who want that
- we have a single POV (which might not suit others) but I was shocked at how much I still loved Nick despite not having his perspective
