Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo

4.0

There is a lot to love about this one. A coming of age story, the strength of sisterhood, the disillusionment of what it is to be adults, a crossroads of culture, country, and inherent privilege. I wish it was longer. Much of the book felt almost lyrical, hypnotizing. I want to read more about Dominican culture. I want to see what happened next for these sisters. I want to know that everyone grew up and together. I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author.
