Again a beautifully written and well crafted story by Megan Whalen Turner however it gets 4 stars from me rather than 5 because it's a very different book to the first in the series and there are elements I miss from the first book.
One of those being Gen's sass and banter/wit which is still there but is significantly reduced. This is understandable as the tone of this book is more serious - but I still miss it nonetheless
I also found certain character motivations to be a little off personally
With these set aside though it's still a great story with twists and turns and only a little godly interference.

Moderate: Injury/Injury detail
