Rachel: A Play In Three Acts (1920) by Angelina W. Grimke

4.5

Im not sure what it is about Angelina that draws me to her work, or I suppose I am not sure of a singular thing.  It is wild that her play would have not only been published but also performed, even with the aside of her being a black woman in the 1920s (albiet from a well off family), however the content that  the play address feels almost early for its time in being present.
<It seems no amount of display that is the trauma and injustice which comes from lynching will change it>
