Star Nomad by Lindsay Buroker
4.0
Captian Alisha Marchenko served as a rebel pilot taking down a tyrannical empire. After the war, she became a civilian, stranded on a planet filled to the brink with criminals
Desperate to get off and dirt poor, Alisha decides to commandeer her mother's old spaceship and travel cargo across the galaxy.
Her plan was going off without a hitch until she discovered an imperial cyborg in the spaceship. He offers to let her have the ship if she'll take him to a spaceport.
She agrees as she takes on several other passengers with their own secrets.
As they travel across space, she can't help but wonder if the cargo she took on was more trouble than she thought.
-------------------
This is so good! I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it.
The plot was so good, and I love how Buroker unraveled the worldbuilding as the story went on.
I love the characterization of Alisha and Leonidas. I love how they contrasted each other.
I don't really have a lot of thoughts? It was fun, I enjoyed it so I'll be reading the next one.
