The story was 10/10! But the wiriting style just wasn't for me; the book was basically just descriptions and a lot of "tell, don't show". Other than that, the story was excellent and Grenouille was a very fascinating character. I did find it funny how he kept thinking of himself as a tick, which is true. It is remarkable what a wretched being he is, yet sometimes he still sparks sympathy. Just wish the book would've been a bit more colourfully written, but maybe it was the translation; who knows.
