I adored this story. It was everything I want in a friends to lover story from the backstory of the friendship to the guy being absolutely obsessed to the two of them being able to goof off and be comfortable around each other. I feel like pacing is what makes or breaks a friends to lovers story and the pacing of this was so good. It kept me invested and interested while building up the romance and showcasing the friendship they had formed. Hayden is everything I want in an mmc and I absolutely loved his caring side as well as his ability to know what Darcy needed and showing her exactly how she deserves to be treated. I thought Darcy was so relatable and I loved seeing her side of the story and watching her growth. The spice in this book was unexpectedly good and a nice added touch. I also loved how mature this romance felt and how communication was prioritized and done well. There was no third act break up which was something I was a little worried about so the fact that there wasn’t makes it even better. And top all that off with a great friend group and great found family as well as a great setup for the next few books in the series.
