Killman Creek by Rachel Caine

5.0

Thanks to netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

4.5 stars. Gosh these books are good.

“The woman who’d been known as Gina Royal, wife of an especially horrible serial killer, is gone, another corpse Melvin left behind him. She’s better off dead. I am Gwen now. Gwen isn’t taking any more shit.”

Just like the previous book, this sequel is off like a rocket and almost never lets up on the gas. In addition to Gwen’s perspective, we now also hear from other characters— Sam, Lanny, and Connor. How this author is able to so perfectly articulate a preteen/teen sibling interaction, I may never know.

I’m not going to say much else for fear of spoilers... Just trust me, you’ll be hooked from page 1 and not be able to breathe until you set it down again!

(Ps- anybody know why the name “killman creek”? Not sure I ever got that... 🤔)
