When I read the first in the series, I enjoyed it for the themes and imagery; its world building and character development were good, but I felt St. Clair missed providing details in even the most trivial of things. This one was no different. It felt rushed and fast paced, and for that, I was unimpressed. I still give it credit, because it held my attention enough to finish it, and I plan on reading the third and last of this series. But I won’t lie and say I am hopeful the third will be better.
