This was such a beautiful book that in the way covered grieving your own life and the mistakes you have made. It also showed that it is never too late to take on a change for the better and show those around you that you are more than their perception of you.
At some point the book reminded me a lot of the story about Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas but I feel “Under the Whispering Door” did an even better job at showing redemption. It was a bit sudden, to be fair, but I feel that the reasons why it happened were well explored.
The characters were all so lovely and I love how they ended up changing death itself by the end. I would love to read at least one more book about them and how they are adapting to the new situations they are in.
