A Girl's Story by Annie Ernaux

Ernaux at maybe her most reflective and self-probing, you can almost feel her writing, keeping a few pages ahead, working through thoughts and memories. Fills a nice gap in her other works, both in content and thematically, and feels like a natural coda to earlier writings like Shame and The Years.
