Trinity Rising by Elspeth Cooper

5.0

Many reviews are murmuring that Elspeth's fantasy is unoriginal. It's been done before. And I don't disagree. It has. But what makes it unique is Elspeth's writing voice. The perfect balance between description needed, and never over-describing. It's such a steady, smooth read. Elspeth's writing only grows stronger, and her characters, although they do follow the cliche for this genre: shine. Why? Because of her obvious talent. A good writer, like Elspeth, can take any tale and weave it in such a way that many of us can find ourselves caught up in it.

I finished Trinity Rising, and the Third book, in one night. I really, truly enjoyed these and look forward to delving into her newer stories as soon as possible.
