Dirty Letters by Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland

5.0

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Dirty Letters is one of those books that you can't put down. I had to see how the connection between Luca and Griffin played out and it is a wonderful journey.

Luca and Griffin met when Luca was given a pen pal in school. Luca lives in the US while Griffin was in the UK so the fear of meeting wasn't there. They could be themselves, tell your secrets and dreams without fear of meeting that person. As they aged the letters continued until one day they just stopped. Tragedy struck Luca's life and the last thing she could do was continue writing to Griffin.

Griffin was angry when the letters stopped. He depended on them, he needed them. He wrote one final letter expressing the anger not knowing the tragedy Luca went through. When Luca finds the letter, it shakes her with what he's written. With the help of her therapist she writes him back which is the catalyst she needs.

I loved seeing that this story was placed a decade ago when social media wasn't as dominate in our lives. Dirty Letters hit all the feelings and it definitely has ended up on my re read list.
