Blood Magic by Eileen Wilks
5.0
*Vaguely spoilery, but nothing specific*
Loved it, had a great time. I prefer the books set in the here and now and centered around Lily and Rule a lot more to any of the books in the series set in another realm. I also think those plots that involve a lot of sleuthing are Wilks' strongest. This one fully delivers.
I also really like that it involves Clanhome and Isen. He is an interesting character and he deserves more time on the page. I also love grandmother in any shape or form. And although I just said I prefer the setting to be in the present, I liked the brief looks into her past. They were a little lost though, too short and too few to really contribute to the story. I would not have minded a longer look at her past. Sam was fun and I loved the gnomes.
