What My Mother and I Don't Talk about: Fifteen Writers Break the Silence by Michele Filgate

5.0

I thought every essay was beautiful in very unique ways and after reading one and then walking away from the book for awhile I found myself deeply remembering parts of each author’s essay. All the authors gave such vivid details about their relationships with their mothers and the ways it affected them that made me feel intensely for everyone involved. It will absolutely make you think deeply about your own relationship with your mother, I know it did for me. Be prepared to cry whether your relationship with your mother is the best, a complicated one, or just somewhere in between!
