Emily is an amazing heroine, and I really enjoyed the last half of this book. It had more romance than the first and more political intrigue and mystery.
Wendall remains delightful. These two are navigating the complexities of him being a fairie king and wanting to marry her. When they make love - and it is making love, the way it is written- there is real vulnerability and hope that was so sweet. A brilliqnt moment and her love for him becomes a driving force in her desire to rescue him, despite her struggles to express herself. All very sweet and it gave the adventure greater importance
My only complaint was that I found the first half a bit slow.
Really liked this book. It was sweet and made me smile.
