Wow.

Just wow.

I am struggling with the appropriate words to describe what this book did to me emotionally. Miranda Lyn has bewitched me in this epic tale of love and loss, gods, and kings. Her descriptions of the world of Requiem paints a vivid image in my mind. I have such a clear depiction of the cities and atmosphere that I forgot it's not an actual place. Her characters are so well described and are all very unique and memorable. The plot was well developed and fine tuned, all ends tied up nicely. The romance was done beautifully, showcasing that relationships are not always easy. Sacrifices are made, and truths are revealed. This book was rather gloomy. There were few happy moments which just made you appreciate them all the more. This book put me through a whirlwind of emotions. I laughed, I cried, was angry, afraid, lustful, and betrayed. Phew, what a journey! I loved this book and will be referring it to all my friends! 🩷
