first book of 2021, immediately starting off right because this was such a fun read! it also got me out of my reading slump that lasted 6 months.

where do i start..
first of all, i never knew that "alexithymia" was a thing, so it was interesting to read the pov of a person that has this condition. secondly, there were a few lines that i liked a lot, here is a few:

"Books took me to places i could never go otherwise. They shared the confessions of people I'd never met and lives I'd never witnessed. The emotions I could never feel, and the events I hadn't experienced could all be found in those volumes"

"There is no such person who can't be saved. There are only people who give up on trying to save others."

"A bookstore is a place densely populated with tens of thousands of authors, dead or living, residing side by side. But books are quiet. They remain dead silent until somebody flips open a page."

i loved "the enemies to friends trope" between yunjae and gon. yunjae slowly developing his emotions despite his condition was really exciting!

i insisted on rating this book four stars because in the middle of the book i kind of got bored out, but the ending was too good! i loved the writing style of this author, the story was really easy to follow, i should definitely should check out some more work from her.
