Too messy. At some parts I was enjoying the book, and at others I was bored. The writing was making the plot confusing. This book suffers from a hoarding problem. It's a haunted house with multiple ghosts, parasitic infestations, family drama, bisexual protagonist struggling to come out to her parents, colonialism, and asian-american identity crisis. It was all over the place. I think it's still worth a read. I'll make sure to check out the authors further books.
