Colder, Vol. 1, by Paul Tobin

5.0

Art: Oof. This cover. I personally love it because body horror is the main horror genre that actually scares me. There were so many images in this that were so imaginative and gruesome. I liked the style and found it did action elements really well.

Story: I always just have to put my brain on pause for a little bit with horror dealing with the mentally ill. I personally can stomach it (as someone who has been hospitalized multiple times, sometimes involving delusions) but I would understand if someone didn't want to fuck with that. I do find this leans a little more on the sympathetic side but definitely has some troubling tropes. That aside, I was really into this story, its characters and its world-building. I'm excited to see where it goes!
