The Cartoon Introduction to Philosophy by Michael F. Patton, Kevin Cannon

4.0

I seem to have stumbled on an entire genre I previously discredited - after trying Alison Bechdel's "Fun Home," I decided graphic novels were dizzying and not for me before returning it to the library, barely begun.

I could not be more wrong! This graphic novel about philosophy was a complete throwback to my childhood. As young as six, I used to carry kids' history books around with me, and I would pore over them, trying to soak in their knowledge. I never realized until now how important the visuals in those books benefited my learning! This book was an excellent intro to philosophy, and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the subject or who wants to brush up on general knowledge. Fun, engaging book that encourages the reader to truly think about philosophy!
