Wow, I really enjoyed this book. It was such a pleasant surprise, and it had me totally hooked from the beginning! I normally am not a fan of dual timelines, but I honestly think that Julie nailed this one. It was so well constructed and paced between the past and present point of views. I loved the MC's, Elliot and Ama, and seeing their relationship from each point of view and timeline. It was so engaging and intriguing. Ama is so independent and strong, as is Elliot, but each have their own struggles to work through. They are so totally opposite but also go together like peanut butter and jelly (well maybe not peanut butter, IYKYK 🤣). I just wish we had even more of these two in the final chapters!! Also, may I just say...I can't wait to read more by Julie Soto! I hope we get a peak of these two again.
