King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

balls man. balls. I cannot survive without reading the rule of wolves so that's what i'm doing right now. Because the ending was UNEXPECTED. Plus my Zoyalai expectations were so high I thought we were gonna get loads of that but oh well, I was wrong yet again! But overall, because Nikolai is in here, I think theres no doubt i'm giving it a five. Besides that, the book was SO EXCITING to read I had LOTS AND LOTS OF FUN. In every chapter there's something interesting that was happening, AND BY THAT I MEAN- EVERY CHAPTER. Mostly in the chapters, when some stuff was blowing up, Leigh tends to add like a thing IN THE PAST that happened to a character that is significantly tragic. Example, there was a scene where in I think Zoya was talking to Nikolai and suddenly she thought of her aunt and then we ended up reading about her aunt (that died because of the darkling) So yes I hope you got that. OK ENOUGH WITH ZOYA AND NIKOLAI. About Nina and Hanne. I'm going insane. I don't know about you or what but I THINK IM THE ONLY ONE SEEING WHATS GOING ON BETWEEN THESE TWO. I SWEAR i need to see both of them in ROW having a waffle date. I'm very glad Nina has like found someone she could talk to. I'm also so glad Matthias isn't not in her head now because in that way, our beloved waffle queen won't be sad anymore. NINAHANNE shipper over here. And then lastly we have Isaak, I just have one thing to say to Isaak. Maybe two. RIP BROTHER YOU WERE AMAZING. But to be honest, how did you become a part of the military or something when you DON'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM. That part just- its WEIRD. You are a palace guard and you don't know how to swim? ANYWAY. Yes. He was so so funny like literally he falls in love with all the girls he encounter. He really did everything he could RIP BROTHER. Ok that's it. Read the book. This review is slightly unprofessional but oh well just read the book man ITS GREAT.
