I liked this! I'm a fan of Olivia Atwater, so I was glad to read more from her. The previous novel, Half a Soul, really spoke to my Pride and Prejudice bias, so it's not surprising that I wasn't as invested in this romance. The romance was still delightful, though. The general plot wasn't overly complicated. It reminded me a bit of Aladdin, just with a faerie instead of a genie trying to grant wishes of status and money in order to win love.
What I liked most about this one was the characters. Their personalities made this story what it was. There were also small details about magic and emotion that really tickled me. I'll definitely be reading more from this series. They're great books for relaxing before bed.
