Mean by Myriam Gurba

4.5

Deeply grim, but also deeply funny. Not what I expected....I thought it would be more like cherry by mary karr but it was both that, and some of the best and most realistic writing about sexual violence out there.

It was a bit scattered, but I love this author's writing style so much that I don't really mind. She's one of the few writers I can think of who's actually 100% hilarious, and who also isn't afraid to come for your throat. Myriam Gurba does justice to being a hater with a noble purpose.
