I listed to the audiobook and I’m pleasantly surprised with how entertained I was by this book. It’s YA and has some cheesy or cringy moments, but plenty to love too. Is this considered the new Twilight, because it had a lot of Twilight references, both figuratively and literally. There were also big leaps of logic from multiple characters. The MC, Grace, said “AF” and “FML” way way way too much. It was comical. Grace said she knew something weird was going on at the school. She claimed she wasn’t dense. However, I think she was laughably stupid and slow because she chose to ignore the many red flags slapping her in the face. I was able to look past it though, because every single character was gaslighting her well into the second half of the book. I enjoyed her relationship with Jaxon, but they were also too instalovey for me. This entire story took place over the course of like a week. I did enjoy it and will be reading book 2!
