Symphony for a Deadly Throne by E.J. Mellow

4.0

Symphony for a deadly throne was the perfect ending to the Mousai trilogy focused this time on Arabessa Bassette and her struggle to go after what she wants in life, instead of bowing to the pressure she places on herself in what she believes she needs to do for her loved ones.

Zimri, life long friend, to the bassettes, confidant to the thief king, and love of Arabessa feels pushed into a choice that could cause his and Arabessas hidden and tenuous relationship to end, causing them both heart break.

This book gave readers a better view and knowledge of the inner workings of the thief kingdom, as well as both Zimri and Arabessas role in it. We see more the dedication Arabessa has to keeping her family together and how she will self-sacrifice anything for those she loves, including herself.

The closure this book gave for the Mousai was perfect. Did Arabessa get her HEA, kind of, following Arabessa ways there was sacrifice and struggle, but she does get her HEA.
