Pam and John are married and teach at the same school. Their marriage is far from great but when tragedy strikes it pushes them further apart. John copes with this by journaling and eventually writes a book, divorce Pam, and becomes a wildly successful author. Years later Pam gets a call from John and he needs her help. She goes and wow! The rest is crazy af. John is an absolute prick and I can't stand him.
It was a good book for a short story.
