Ariah endures being kidnapped and witnessing the horrors around her. Samantha is still cocky about being chosen. A few of the other selected go missing. Ariah learns more about her mom’s secret life. As the guys uncover more about their enemy, they realize Ariah has been a pawn in this and doesn’t hold blame. Lev and Wes have to earn her forgiveness. Just when Owen, Wyatt, Lev, Wes, and Seb think they’ve handled all their enemies, the real mastermind reveals themself…leaving behind a mess of bodies, hearts, and emotions.

—Typically I don’t like a book with a lot of strategizing scenes, but this one does it in a way that’s concise and quickly acted upon. And usually they’re the ones acting first so there isn’t. A lot of waiting for things to happen.

- I continue to love Ariah and her individual relationship with each guy. It’s important for me that a RH allows time for each guy to develop a connection with the FMC and that definitely happens here.
