I’m the buyer for an independent bookstore so I was able to get the digital ARC through Edelweiss. As I am not a writer I can’t promise eloquence but I’ll give my two cents.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I’m a sucker for historical fantasy and Parry does a wonderful job of immersing the reader in the world. Biddy gives a great outsider POV into the complex and long-lasting world of magicians. Hutchincroft is the heart of the cast and is clearly written by someone who has rabbits of her own.
Honestly I think this is a book I’ll be thinking about for a while, it ticked a lot of boxes for my personal tastes.
