Scythe by Neal Shusterman

5.0

When I first started "Scythe" by Neal Shusterman, it reminded me of "The Giver" by Lois Lowry, but as I read on, I found that it was very different.  The process of the Scythes and their differing philosophies during training was fascinating. In the second half, I loved the dual POVs after the swap, as it allowed us to see what each character was experiencing without them knowing. The book's ending was fantastic, and I’m excited to continue the series!
