Destiny's Choice by Karen Frost

5.0

I think this book will suffer in reception because of the tone and the times it's come out in. But I found it pulled off an ambitious and harrowing concept very well. It can be grim and certainly stands out tonally in the quartet but I enjoyed my time with this book immensely.

Certainly a wonderful expansion on Asher's character, but not one I saw coming. If you're worried about the darkness, now that the series is finished you always have another one to rush into afterwards. But Destiny's Choice is a strong book that you might want to cogitate on in a good way.
