The graphic novel sequel to Invisible Emmie. Brianna is good at school but, at her mom’s request, steps out of her comfort zone to perform with the drama students at the school talent show. Izzy is the opposite; not great at school but talented on stage. It was satisfying to see the two stories come together in the end. I don’t feel like this one’s quite as good as Invisible Emmie was (I felt like Bri’s character was actually more fleshed out in Emmie’s book than in her own!), but it was still fun.
Parents: there’s a panel where Bri’s dad calls himself “sexy” (it’s weird??) and a reference to Izzy’s sister sneaking over to a friend’s house to look at dirty magazines.
