I LOVED this one. Don't get me wrong, The Fine Print was good but this just superior. It moved at such a lovely pace that we get to feel all the tension and build up and when they finally get together it's such a huge satisfying moment.

I loved Declan. I'm actually so shocked by how much I ended up loving him. He truly is a proper grump who's soft for his girl only.

Iris is my queen. She's black and dyslexic so we have POC rep as well as a learning disability rep. Despite her having dyslexia, she's a kickass and smart as hell woman. I'm so proud of her fr.

Another shocker was how much Cal intrigued me in this book. A lot of things he said revealed what his book could be about.

So now we have things I enjoyed (spoilers):
  • So Declan’s I really appreciated. For example, when he finally admitted to himself that he wants Iris and came on absolutely strong and did not shy away from his feelings and made it known that he wanted her
  • When he complained to Iris about having to meet her family but when he actually met them he charmed them so much and enjoyed their company as well. Props to you for finishing the spicy chicken sir
  • Was it just me or did the book imply that Cal had or has a kid? (With Alana most likely)
  • When Declan took her on a fake date (and lied about it being for a reporter) to the botanical gardens simply because she likes plants
  • The font, that's it. All I gotta say
  • Them watching F1 together and him allowing her to share something so special that he used to do with his mom
  • Declan getting jealous AS HELL when Cal mentions he and Iris kissed once 🥵🥵🥵 and him being jealous over their friendship like siiiiirrrr
  • Let's not forget the proposal and their new home with a greenhouse. When I say I literally cried I mean it
  • I almost forgot but Iris punching the piece of shit dad >>>>>
