Captain America: Winter Soldier, Volume 1 by Ed Brubaker
5.0
I was going to start this run in the later issues because I saw it has Buckynat but then the literal title of this volume?? Say less.
This was so much my kind of shit. I've been a fan of Captain America and Bucky for so long now thanks to the movies so I ate this UP. The story begins with Red Skull getting a cosmic cube (yo is that the damn tesseract???). Cap is having new horrible memories come up that he isn't sure if are even real. Sharon Carter is actually a full ass character which is great to see and dang I want to see more of her and Cap's relationship. Also Zemo's mask / helmet thing was SO funny looking every time he showed up with it I cackled.
The story seems pretty simple but this is again a lot of spy shit (and lowkey a murder mystery) but I was invested. Except for the last issue I was confused as heck though. But this was great, I really enjoyed.
