This was the first Sally Rooney book that I have read.
I can say it was amazing. This book was extremely addicting if you cannot tell by how quickly I read it.
When I began reading I did find the lack of quotation marks for speech to be irritating but as the book goes on I saw how it worked. The book just has that relatability to it of day-to-day life with struggles with life as a whole such as endometriosis. I found myself strangely relating to Nick due to how he struggles to share emotions with others, some may find that bland, but I really related to how Nick was in acting in these situations because I saw myself in his personality and through his interests, even the depression that was mentioned. As a whole, Nick was my favourite character. I related to how Bobbi's reaction to him, in the beginning, is exactly how I see other people seeing me because I keep quiet and let anything happen.
The relatability to my day-to-day life as a university student made this book hit harder. The use of emails at the beginning didn't make much sense to me but I eventually got over it when they were using messaging services to communicate. But as a whole, this book has become an absolute favourite of mine.
