Ship of Shadows by Tee Harlowe

5.0

I was so excited to get my hands on this book and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! I hope you enjoy my little book trailer for Ship of Shadows by Tee Harlowe. I love a fairytale re-imagining, this time we embarked on a Peter Pan twist. Bastian is a pirate Captain who lost his ship to the woman he loves when he betrayed her. Gabby is princess who would be queen, but isn't sure she wants the job. In the not so distant past they embarked on a whirlwind affair that ended when Bastian led the boys, including her brothers, from Gabby's kingdom to an unmarked island. Due to his betrayal she also lost her father, the King, when he went to search for the missing boys and never returned. After some time Bastian makes an unexpected and dramatic re-entrance into her life and what follows is a lot of angst, longing, secrets, new friendships, adventure, heartbreak, some damn good banter and some spicy encounters. Ship of Shadows is the second installment in a series of interconnected standalone novels. @teeharlowe is that amazing storyteller who manages to make you snort laugh, want to smack some characters, get misty eyed and leave you swooning over the love story between her characters. As soon as I heard she was planning a pirate story I immediately imagined Hook from Once Upon a Time and that imagery was spot on. I know I have taken you all on a bit of a ramble, but I'm glad you stuck with it because today is RELEASE DAY! So grab your copy of Ship of Shadows and while you're at it grab Mirror of Malice if you haven't already read it.
