An immensely intense and engrossing reading experience that left me with questions through the very last page. Every character is hiding something, but their motivations are often unclear. The tension increasingly ratchets up as relationships begin unraveling and suspicious behaviors are left unexplained. Through the multiple narrators, I’d begun to piece together some answers by the end, but I was left completely unprepared for the full story that was revealed. It is a fascinating exploration of the complex layering of relationships and an uncomfortable reminder that we rarely have deep intimate knowledge of the people in our lives because they get to choose their public persona and what they share with us.
