The Most Famous Illegal Goose Creek Parade, Volume 1 by Virginia Smith

3.0

The bad part about reading the second book in a series before the first is when you go back to read the first book, and all of the characters have regressed. I enjoyed the premise of the book (and the quick pace of the story combined with multiple plot lines), but I found most of the character's deficiencies even more apparent. Maybe it's because I've never lived in such a small town, and can't relate - but many of the townspeople seem far-fetched. However, I look forward to reading the third book of the series - at the end of the second book some of them really started to grow on me.
