Fredrik Backman has done it again. I didn’t know where this story would go after Beartown, but he found angles that I didn’t think to explore.
The character writing is phenomenal as always. With such a simple writing style, the impact him and his translator are able to put to words is indescribable. The characters are flawed, but trying to do what they think is best (most of the time) in their minds and it leads to such realistic conflict that grows into something untamable.
