I read this in school and I have to say, I enjoyed it much more as an adult. I really think the middle third with Huck and Jim and the duke and king is a five-star book, with much more humor than I appreciated as a teenager. I reread it so I could be refreshed for Percival Everett's James and was kind of dreading revisiting it, but I ended up finding it a very enjoyable experience. Really would have given it five stars if not for the storyline with Tom at the end. I think Jim should get to kill Tom Sawyer, quite frankly.
