Four Past Midnight by Stephen King

0.5

I chose this because it was the start of Halloween season and also I am looking for a book with four in the title that I like. This isn't it. Stephen King is way too wordy (it was SO LONG), plus overall this collection of stories from the late 80s/early 90s has some outdated ideas/words and some flat out racist terms. Each story had potential but I hit something in the third one that if I hadn't been so far in I would have DNF'd. CW for that story below: CSA.
Story1: probably my fave of them all, very full of tension and not as much gore.
Story2: enjoyed comparing this one to the movie from back in the day, which I haven't seen in probably 15-18 years.
Story3: **CW above**: was going well but then there was a flashback scene of sexual assault that happened to the MC as a child and it was quite graphic without real warning. No thank you.
Story4: concept was cool but was just too long.
