Pros:
·This was so sweet. More like heartwarmer, amiright??
·There are some things about sweet innocent first love that you can’t put into words, and the graphic novel was a perfect element to explore that.
·The series also so beautifully deals with topics such as sexuality, friendship, coming out, eating, and supporting others through mental health crises. I think everyone has something to connect to here
Cons:
·they feel more like episodes than individual stories (is this how graphic novels usually are?)
·In the first book, I thought Ben and Nick looked pretty similar, which was a little confusing
Recommendation: I recommend if you’re looking for something heartwarming with meaning. These are super quick reads and I found them enjoyable and touching. I don’t normally read graphic novels and found these to be a nice change. Avoid if you want something with words or something that isn’t teenage romance
Moderate: Eating disorder, Mental illness, and Self harm
Minor: Bullying and Homophobia
