A Very Terrible Text by Elana Johnson, Elana Johnson

lighthearted medium-paced

3.0

We’ve all been the victims of autocorrect in our texts at one time or another. Many of us have even sent our text to the wrong person. Fingers slip, the most recent name comes up, whatever. It happens. It’s how you respond that makes it the worst, or best, text ever. Well - Hillary is totally embarrassed when she sends the grump next door an invitation to dinner by accident.  But she is far too polite to admit it. Liam, on the other hand, is very pleasantly surprised. A relationship that starts as the result of a mistake?  What could go wrong??   The mishaps, misunderstandings, and miscommunication make this a fun romance filled with cute banter and silly antics. Hillary and Liam are so well suited - it just takes them a while to recognize that. The slow discovery of this truth brings a smile to my face.   I enjoyed the roommates in the Big House. I just wish they had played a bigger role in the story. Upon introduction they seemed as though they would be, but they were not as present as I would have liked.
