Black Canary, Volume 1: Kicking and Screaming by Brenden Fletcher

4.0

First I have to say the artwork, colors, and panelling in this are freaking amazing!

The storyline on the other hand was decent.
I wad actually really looking forward to this title so I want to say thank you to DC for sending me a copy! The story wasn't bad, it kept my attention and I liked it but I had some problems with it.

For this trade to be excellent it needed a lot more development. Dinah and her character wasn't even brought up until the last issue and it summed up in a panel. There needed to be mire development in the relationship of the band, they went from disliking each other to being family and I didn't get because it wasn't shown or even talked about, though I did like how they had each other's back in the end.

I freaking loved Bo! She was the only character who was fully fleshed out, and one of the only characters I connected with. Bo is flawed but she has a heart of gold and the issue where we learn about her story is the best one! The other character I connected with and freaking loved was Ditto! She's a freaking sweetheart and I wanted to protect her and the little relationship Ditto has with Bo makes me want to cry because it's SO STINKING CUTE!

Overall, This was a pretty solid trade the plot was good, but needed more development and the characters needed to be fleshed out more but it's just the first volume so I'll cut it some slack but honestly it's getting a 4 because the artwork, colors, and panelling are freaking AMAZING. AMAZING I TELL YOU!
