The Passion by L.J. Smith

5.0

The Passion is the third and final book of the Dark Visions trilogy by L.J. Smith

Gabriel left the four others, Anna, Rob, Lewis, and Kaitlyn, to work with Mr. Zetes. He is determined to get a shard of the crystal they have nobody the cost and demonstrates to them that he means business. Kaitlyn realizes that she has to do something about Gabriel and decides to sneak off and pretend to join the Institute because the crystal needs to be destroyed. When Gabriel finds Kaitlyn, she tells him she came back to join him. At first, he believes her and gets her back into the Institute. What will happen if Gabriel finds out? He has already shown once he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. If Gabriel finds out the real reason, will he protect Kaitlyn just when she needs him most or will he betray her and the others yet again for his own selfish reasons?

I really enjoyed this series. I got mad at Gabriel sometimes during the book, but I think it was necessary for his character. I was hesitant to even start this series because I usually don’t like more of the sci-fi elements to books, but since this is by L.J. Smith and that I’ve had the first book for so long, I decided it was time to see if this trilogy was worth reading. It definitely is. I don’t know if I like this more than the Nightworld series and Forbidden Game trilogy, but I really do love this trilogy. Any L.J. Smith fan should give this trilogy a try.
