The ending of "Bared to you", the first book in the series, was so abrupt, and unresolved, I was surprised it didn't result in frustration among the readers. Even knowing another book is coming, I thought it's an unwritten rule to give some sense of a wrap in each book.

That certainly existed here. As other readers explained, most of this book repeated patterns we already saw in book one (unresolved, remember?), and while it's very true we all repeat harmful patterns until we intentionally work on them, it's not always fun to read.

Everything comes with such a full circle explanation in the end, it made the reading experience rather rewarding. And hopeful that the stars of this story will continue the work of healing in the next.

Through their volatile relationship and struggles, they're also juggling the people around them bringing their own awful baggage, so you can never say it's uneventful at any point. Not all agree, but this reader respects any messy book that brings the method to the madness in the end.
