Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas

5.0

It takes a special kind of book to be finished in one day, and damn is this book special.

The book is mean. Twisted. So maddeningly cruel to do that to a reader. The entirety of the book you try to figure out “who killed her???” “I bet it was Tate!” “Maybe it was Mel!”, but never once thinking “maybe it was Anna” that’s the cruel thing. I rooted for Anna the entire way through the book. I felt bad for her, my heart hurt for her, and I even had sympathy for her. My entire brain was controlled by the thought of who would convict a so completely innocent girl? It allowed me to concoct all my own theories of who murdered Elise. Till the last. 6. Damn. Pages.

This book is brilliant because it truly is different. No one makes the protagonist actually the antagonist by making the protagonists look like antagonists! I mean PURE GENIUS!

The entire way through I thought this book was a solid 4 maybe a 4.5, because I had really low expectations as to what the ending would be, thinking it would disappoint. I reiterated till the last. 6. Damn. Pages. Now I won’t lie I resent Tate and Elise for what they did to Anna, and made me sympathize Anna even MORE(before I knew she killed Elise of course).

Lastly the beauty of the necklace pendant. The first clue to the affair and the last clue to the murder. Perfection. Utter perfection.
